I am looking into a business venture with a local florist but I am concerned about keeping my cupcakes in the same case as the fresh cut flowers. Does anyone know if the flowers will change the taste of the cupcakes or the frosting? I haven’t been able to find an answer to this question.

I used to work at a florist (a very nice one) and on occasion the flowers were delivered with tiny flies. I would say get a separate fridge for the baked goods.

I have this really pretty wall vase that had belonged to my grandmother, and I don’t know what to put in it. I don’t want to use fresh flowers because I’m afraid the water could damage it. I think she had it on her wall without anything it it, but I’m not sure. And I think it would be prettier filled with something. I’m just not sure what. I tried dried eucalyptus but it didn’t look quite right.

Does anyone have other suggestions?

Why not simply put a container of some kind into it, add water to that container, then add real flowers?

I am currently on vacation in one US city and love the fresh flowers here.
I want to take some back with me. The flight is domestic (within the US).

Will I be able to do this? Can I take flowers on board?
If not, should I put them in my luggage or dry them up?
Frankly the shape of them on landing matters very little as I plan to put them on my father’s grave.

I’m trying to preserve an alstroemeria in some sort of clear resin, much like you would for jewerly (http://www.misi.co.uk/thumbs2/5916857032.jpg). I can’t seem to find any helpful information on how to go about doing this online… can anyone help?

i love the white ostrich feather decorations for the centre tables which i want to add stem flowers and the church pews there are some really nice silk flowers around or should i just stick with fresh ones? like to hear from former brides pls thanks.

lots of people have both at their weddings and if you choose nice silk flowers, there is nothing wrong with it.

if you are using silk to keep costs down though, you may find that fresh flowers from a wholesale supplier (as opposed to a florist shop) will end up being as cheap and sometimes cheaper than good silk flowers.
