For your wedding who all gets wedding flowers?

I was curious as to whom gets wedding flowers? Obviously the wedding party… but like mom, dad, grandparents?

Traditionally, the bride and her bridesmaids get bouquets, the groom, his groomsmen, the ushers, and the fathers get boutonnieres, and the mothers and grandmothers get corsages.

Any readers or musicians you’re using get boutonnieres or corsages, as well.

But no flowers are required. If you need to limit the flowers, that’s fine – just be careful that whatever you come up with isn’t something that will make it look like you’re favoring some people over others (corsages for the MOB but not the MOG, for example, or for one reader but not another).

EDIT: Nova Queen makes a good point. Stepparents should be treated exactly the same as parents.

    The mothers should get corsages. Anything else might be gravy, though I suppose you could get boutinieres for the dads. Get stuff for the grandparents only if you can afford it and you feel generous.

    outside of the wedding party …

    we gave boutenierres to the Dads – including stepdad.
    we gave corsages to the Moms
    We don’t have grandparents, but if you do they should get the same as parents.
    we gave boutenierres to our Godfathers and corsages to our Godmothers.
    we gave corsages to our readers also.
